What are EYEZEN+ Lenses?

Eyezen is an Enhanced Single Vision Lens option with two major benefits:

(1) Defends against eye strain associated with device use

Eyezen lenses contain a small but fixed boost in plus power at the bottom of the lens. They contain a small amount of accommodative relief to help alleviate eye strain caused by viewing near objects, like cell phones and tablets, for hours on end.

(2) Reduces expores to Harmful Blue Light

Eyezen+ lenses utilize Essilor's Smart Blue Filter feature, which reduces expores to harmful blue light coming from devices, inside lighting, and even the sun.

Eyezen+ Lenses Defend Against Digital Eye Strain and Harmful Blue Light. Today’s digital world forces our eyes to work harder every day. Single vision patients need a better solution that can keep up with the modern demands of life and the impact they have on their eyes. 

The Eyezen + lenses are a fantastic new single vision lens design. Eyezen+ lenses are not a substitution for progressive lenses, they are an enhanced single vision lens where your distance prescription is ground into the entire lens and near the bottom portion of the lens the fix accommodative power (based on age range) is ground into the lens to help prevent eye fatigue when using digital devices and computers. 

Eyezen+ lenses are an enhanced, single vision solution that is an upgrade from traditional single vision lenses. Eyezen+ lenses utilize Blue filtration to reduce the effects of harmful blue light. The Blue filtration is embedded in all Eyezen+ lenses and is aesthetically clear and colorless. This feature ensures all Eyezen+ lenses help block harmful Blue Light from digital devices and other sources of Blue Light.  

HOW DO EYEZEN+ LENSES ENHANCE THE SINGLE VISION EXPERIENCE?

Eyezen+ lenses are digitally surfaced and work by providing a small amount of fixed accommodative power relief in the lower portion of the lens to alleviate eyestrain. Please be aware that the Eyezen+ lenses with Blue filtration cannot be tinted nor can the accommodative powers be altered.

There are 5 unique Eyezen+ designs and the patient’s age will determine which Eyezen+ design is right for them. The design difference is the amount of accommodation the patient will receive in the bottom portion of the lens:

Eyezen+ 0: patients of all ages (provides no power boost at the bottom)
Eyezen+ 1: patients aged 18 to 34 (0.4 diopters of power boost at the bottom)
Eyezen+ 2: patients aged 35 to 39 (0.6 diopters of power boost at the bottom
Eyezen+ 3: patients aged 40 to 44 (0.85 diopters of power boost at the bottom)
Eyezen+ 4: patients aged 45 to 50 (1.10 diopters of power boost at the bottom)
